First Family Ski Trip

We were not expecting much in terms of snow when we planned this trip to Northstar several months ago, but the main goal of the trip was to get Cameron on some skis, so we were just hoping for a little snow and no rain. We did have hopes that maybe we would get lucky and wow did we! The best Tahoe ski weekend of the year so far with 1-2 feet of fresh powder Friday-Saturday. Mommy & daddy got to snowboard for the first time in 5 years!! Ski school was a success as well, as Cameron cruised through 2 days of “training” (mostly – how to put on and take off your skis, eat cookies and drink hot cocoa) and by the end was coasting down the bunny slope, although we are pretty sure her favorite part was eating the fresh snow! Hands down favorite memory of watching her class was when she fell and the instructor reached her hand down to pull her up, Cam thought she was offering her a snack and started eating the snow off of her glove! She had a good attitude the whole time and would laugh hysterically every time she fell. Mackie had fun playing in the snow, but we were ill-prepared (clothing-wise) for so much snow, so she only lasted a little while. They both had fun riding the gondola through the trees and playing with their besties Izzy & Kieran. Definitely hoping this is an annual trip with the Poiriers.
