Since we are all Disney all the time around here, but mom & dad can’t quite stomach a trip to Disneyland yet, we compromised with a trip to the Disney Resort in Hawaii! We can’t report a completely smooth vacation, but nevertheless we still had lots of fun! Mackie had a double ear infection and was pretty miserable all week, but Cam was healthy and wore herself out everyday. Poor Mack’s first trip to the islands and she was sick the whole time! Lots of family pool and beach time, although Mackie mostly just napped in our arms. Our shy little Cameron wasn’t all that siked to hang out at Aunty’s Beach House (Kids Camp) or to go down the water slides, but she did venture out on the Menehune Bridge and go tubing down the lazy river with her daddy. The Aulani is a great resort for families, with everything you could ask for while vacationing with young kids, but far from a relaxing tropical vacation! We did manage to squeeze in a trip to the Spa one evening that was divine. I think it will be a couple years before we make the trek back to Hawaii, but we sure do love those islands!
