This year we took a road trip south for the 4th of July, it was a long trek but certainly worth the fun we had with all our SoCal friends.  After leaving Friday afternoon, our first stop was in Moorpark to see our friend’s the Keens.  We showed up around 10pm which was apparently just in time for dinner.  Adam prepared us a feast and we washed it down with about 7 bottles of nice red wine, and when I say “about”, I mean “actually” 7 bottles…4 people…and one huge hangover in the morning!  Here are the cutest 3 brothers in the world, Dylan (right), Jake (left) and “baby” Hunter (you can see that Hunter is just a tad bigger than our “big girl”).

Having 3 boys in less than 3 years is no small feat and Adam and Katie seem to be handling it with ease!!

On Saturday we braved the LA traffic and made our way south to a little piece of paradise called San Clemente.  Our friends the Lawrence’s live in the coolest town on the planet.  And check out how adorable Brooks and Wiley are!

We swung down to Nick’s old stomping grounds in Pacific Beach to meet up with a good crowd of San Diego/Navy friends at Cantina.  This was the first time that Cameron got to meet Matthew Saleh who was born just one day after Cam.  Here are the moms and babies:

On the 4th we woke up early for the “parade” – usually there are more spectators than participants in a parade – but this one was all about the participants.  Annika’s mom was nice enough to decorate Cameron’s stroller and make her a BIG headband for the festivities.

Cameron slept through most of the parade, but everybody was having a blast while she dozed…

After a long day at the beach we threw Cameron into her 2nd holiday outfit of the day and headed over to the Reender’s house to watch the fireworks — what a beautiful setting and a beautiful evening.
